"Pathways"

An original design created by Shelley Greener and Linda Dearing, the raffle quilt for our 2009 show is an amazing tour de force of intricate design, piecing and appliqué. Drawing inspiration from a tile floor design, the fabrics combined with expert piecing and appliqué bring the vision to life. The curving and flying geese are perfectly encased by the simple pieced border and beautifully enhanced by the appliqué. As is our tradition, all work on the quilt is done by hand. This extraordinary design is further enhanced by an abundance of well executed hand quilting. It is truly a breath taking work of art, sure to become a treasured heirloom!

Of course, in order to win this beautiful quilt, you have to buy a ticket. Books of six tickets for $5 will be available this spring at many of the vendors listed on this site, as well as from the members of the First Dutchess Quilters.
